Studio Curtain – PDF Pattern

Studio Curtains

The afternoon sun comes strongly into my studio, which faces west. I studied as a photographer and I love light – so I don’t want to keep it all out, just cut down on the heat and give myself a little more privacy at night.  The Studio Curtains utilize a pretty little draft that creates small lacy  ‘windows’ the kind a child would draw – a box bisected both vertically and horizontally. Two different ‘windows’ – one with vertical lines and the other with horizontal – result in a pattern with gentle movement. Light-as-air 2/16 cotton makes for easy to weave and care for curtains that glow in the afternoon and ripple wonderfully in the breeze.

This pattern is more than just plain instruction – personal experience and pro tips and tricks are included to help you achieve great results! This pattern includes a whole page on how to modify the curtains to fit your own windows.

As professional artist and handweaver, my goal is to develop weaving patterns that engage people in their own creativity and increase their skills and confidence through simple projects. Making beautiful woven textiles does not have to be challenging!
