Soap Bag – PDF Weaving Pattern

$8.00

Soap Bag

I use bar soap (partly because I can get it without packaging – no plastic garbage!) and I never want to waste any of it, so I designed this soap bag to collect the little slivers that usually slip down the drain. I imagined it as a great project for using up leftover yarn – making one uses barely 10g of weft, and the handy braid (to hang dry) can be made out of thrums. It’s also super quick to weave – making it easy to whip up a few over the weekend and give away as hostess gifts or to friends and family.

As a weaver I often want to give handwoven gifts, but don’t have the time to weave something special for everyone – this is my answer! I also love supporting other makers in my community, and to that end, I encourage you to take a look at these three soap makers that I use:  ALTR Soaps, Cucamanga, and Skipping Stone Soap
